"Since its emergence more than 15 years ago, file sharing through the Torrent network (BitTorrent) has been one of the fastest and safest options. In fact, torrent clients have been available since the beginning, such as Azureus (now Vuze) or newer and extended ones such as Transmission, which recently released v3.0. But what happens if we can't install software on the computer? That's where Seedr comes in, a service that allows us to do everything from a web browser.

Before someone asks why we need a service like Seedr, we can imagine several situations where we can't download a torrent client. For example, if we want to download a torrent on a computer that is not ours, such as in our office. Or, why not say it, the operating system we use limits this type of application

Works in any browser, but with limitations

The best thing about Seedr is that it works in any browser. Just like there are services like instant.io or btorrent.xyz that, although I hope they improve, work when they want to (almost never), Seedr works perfectly in all types of browsers, even on the most limited phones. The only thing required to function directly from the browser is to allow you to download files, something that even the iPhone browser permits.

The downside is that it has limitations. The free version only allows us to download files up to 2GB in size, but this limit can be increased if we spread the word and invite people through Twitter, email, Facebook or Pinterest. If you need to remove all limitations, we can use Premium with three types of subscriptions:

Basic: with €6.95/month, we can download faster, play files in HD and increase the limit up to 30GB.

Pro: with €9.95/month we can use private trackers, store more files, download faster and up to a maximum of 100GB.

Master: with €19.95/month we can even mount Seedr as a network drive or use scripts, increasing the storage limit up to 1TB.

Logically, what is described in this article is not very interesting for those of us who can install clients on our computers, but it is certainly relevant for those who cannot and will make Seedr one of their favorite web services.
